August 10, 2009 - Epcot Center

Epcot is amazing. There doesn't seem any other word to explain it. Everything is so high-tech, yet still true to what Disney is all about... just a bit of magic! Today we talked to Crush, the turtle from Finding Nemo, but he was an animation on a big screen and it was so funny to have a real conversation with a cartoon. We also rode on these huge clam shell boats that took us on a trip underwater where we were told the story of Finding Nemo using a really long tv screen. I really can't describe it - and that was just within the first couple of hours of arriving at Epcot!

I learned all about the different 'senses', dinosaurs and the history of how the world became what it is today, and even tasted some of the different Coca Cola varieties from all around the world! I'm not really allowed to have Coke just yet, and i don't really know why my Ma and Pa love it so, but it was fun to try all of their other flavours anyhow. So many things to see and learn. It really makes learning so much fun! (My Mama told me to say that).

Towards the end of the day, there was something that happened which is a bit embarrassing now that i think about it, so i'm not too sure if i want to write it into this diary. It happened at a place called Character Spot where we could go and meet Disney celebrities, have photos, and get their autographs. I met Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy and Donald Duck and spent some time with each of them. The trouble is that when it was time to go, i was really heartbroken so i caused a bit of a scene and my Mama dragged me out while i was kicking and screaming. I think the other kids were looking at me.

See the thing is that Ma and Pa don't think i'm old enough to know who these celebrities are, but i've been watching them on Playhouse Disney all my life, and i couldn't bare the thought of saying goodbye. But I do love Mickey... probably as much as the Wiggles... so that's a lot!
