August 3, 2009 – At sea

Okay so the good news is that Mama and Papa have finally gotten used to carrying me around everywhere, which is great because I spent a whole week training them on the matter. I’ve heard Mama mention how ouchy her back is, and something about maybe not bringing me along to their next trip, so that makes me a little nervous but I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it.

We are at sea the whole day today as we make our way to Haiti, the first of the Caribbean islands we visit on this tour. I feasted on the buffet again and shovelled everything from cereal, bread, yoghurt and green jelly, before continuing more of our walking tour around the cruise ship.

I attended a play session with other people my age while Papa played basketball on the outdoor deck one floor below. He’s such a good player! We have a big day ahead of us including an ice skating show later this afternoon and ‘formal night’ tonight, so I will need to have a good siesta to load up on energy.

I generally like to be by Mama’s side all the time, but not when it’s show time because Papa and I always dance together to the music of the live shows. We try copy what the performers are doing, so I get tossed around, dipped, spun, and I have the best time!

We then had Ben & Jerry’s ice cream for a night cap, and off to bed to rest for tomorrow!
